This uncomplicated tool not only offers you a straightforward solution to reading your EPUB books on your PC, but also the possibility of converting them into either PDF files or JPEG images with a single click of your mouse.

This tool comes in a plain interface with two main panels, a bigger one for the text of the book itself and a smaller one on the left-hand side for the table of contents. Do not expect too much when it comes to navigating your books using the program’s controls, though. Actually, that panel with the table of contents is the only way of jumping to a specific section of the book using your mouse or keyboard. In this panel, you will find whatever “anchors” have been added to the book – page numbers, chapters, etc. You can always move along the pages of the book using the slider on the right-hand side, and that is mainly it. The program lacks full-text search capabilities or the possibility of adding bookmarks to go back to when needed. You can make some changes in the way the text is presented, though. Epub Reader for Windows allows you to zoom in and out the text and go back to the original font size in one click.

Maybe to compensate for its limitations when it comes to book navigability and for the fact that this is not a free tool, Epub Reader for Windows offers you some basic conversion functionality. Thus, you can transform the EPUB book you’re reading into either a PDF file or a set of JPG images in just a few simple steps.

This is all the functionality that this EPUB reader offers – it is certainly enough to open and read an EPUB document on your PC and to do some quick text-to-image conversions on it, but when confronted to other e-book readers in general, and to some free ones in particular, this tool pales a bit in comparison.
